USA Freedom of Worship by levite USA Freedom of Worship by levite
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I spent quite a bit of time on this one...ufff

That's a good quote to bounce off "separation of church and state"-ers.

God will honor his faith and I would not want to be the man who touches God's anointed. It reminds me of my early years in high school, when I started a Christian club and we were literally thrown rocks while we prayed. Not one of a rain of them, touched us...

The thing is... I wouldn't mind it if they still allowed for a moment of silence for those who WANT to pray... And that it feels like they are trying to actively prevent people from expressing their faith.

I can understand that they want to be religion-neutral, but not religion-free. Also I find it disturbing that science theory is taught as tho' the theories are definitive when so many of them have not and probably can not be proven as fact.

... Great piece of work and a strong message... BTW --- about 3 years ago, I got to encourage & pray with several 19 yr old Christian co-eds, who were browsing some of my martyrs' artwork...
... Within the following week, their accounts were deleted and (to quote a "friend") --- "... these ungrateful, blaspheming infidels were disposed of, according to Allah's Will..."
... such things happen @ the University of Tehran...
... God help us --- I believe we are in for a quick & rude awakening !
... Thanks for the reminder...

May the Lord certainly help us... I agree.

Here at the USA, a centuries old tradition was stopped after a judge consider a National observance of prayer unconstitutional. The rocks are ready and coming...

The rocks should be in the hand of the worshipper. That would correctly coorespond to the status of religious freedom right now. From Islamic fundamentalists, to Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and their kindred, they are making freedom of worship cease to exist. The vision of Jesus or Allah's empire on earth is a fascist one in terms of religion. If you truly value your own faith, you would support the rights of others to believe what they want. If you are seeking to be an individual, you are not. You're making the same statements which have been made countless times across the television networks, radios, and pulpits. How does it feel to be a sheep to doctrine?

Hi, good image, there is power, power...
And I have to say, having read and reread the first ammendment that nowhere does it call for any "separation" of church and state, to even pass such a law is unconstitutional according to it's own text. But of course courts have ruled otherwise as it seems do the opinions of the masses *sigh

Thanks for your comment. I am glad you liked the image.

My message is not popular, I know! It is a representation of a "direct" threat to our liberties as a whole. A simple example and case in point would be to try posting anything around here with the name of God or anything unpopular in a forum thread (I am sure you have seen them) and watch how all hell breaks loose. Actually when I saw your postings against cheap porn being called art, I was impressed. My support to your message was not simply because of my religious convictions but because there is an 8 year old deviant that I personally know. He should not be exposed to that.

Trust me, I am NOT worried about it as stated in your comment, but to ignore it is to deny who we are as a nation and to allow bullies to take our liberties. Our nation's foundation has always been judeo-christian, not the other way around.

I am proud to be an american and to enjoy the liberty of worship, that is what I stand for, but when a society tries to restrict me from "my" liberties, without my freedoms being imposed on others, I will stand for it and voice it. This is not just an outside attempt from my part, I have been a target of prejudice due to my choice to worship in school. Our constitution does call for a separation of church and state, not a restriction on personal worship. Laws out of context are a simple pretext.

Peace!

as far as the image, its great, but the message I'll have to disgaree.

Since this country was formed, Christianity has played a dominate role in goverment, even though it should not have been. For example, the motto "In God we trust", changed from the original latin blurb during the civil war.

What is happening now is what is fair. Christians will no longer be able to create and enforce laws that are indirectly discriminatory to other religions.

And with the vast majority of the decision makers in our goverment practicing some form of Jesus worhip, I really find it rediculous that you would even be worried about it.

No offense to Christians, just proving a point that i've longed to prove :) (Smile)
